Whoo hoo Aryanna! Mrs. Sheehy has recognized her for Husky Humanitarian! She states, "While working on hallway decorations, Aryanna noticed how stressed her class was, and maintained a calm, positive, and bright attitude amid the chaos. Her bright smile and confident leadership put everyone at ease, and it was much appreciated!" Thanks Aryanna for bringing light into stormy moments!

I believe Ms. Oveson is a wonderful candidate for the Humanitarian Husky Award because she spreads excitement and school pride, encouraging Elgin students to get involved and try something new. Students see her energy and school pride through all the innovative ideas she brings to Elgin Jr/Sr High. I see Lynique’s pride and enthusiasm when she takes the initiative at our assemblies encouraging students to get up and get involved. I really liked what she did at the Thanksgiving ‘Husky CHEERS’ Assembly where she talked about giving back and doing something for others, not just for yourself. She told students that even though they may not know the meaning of giving to the community now, one day they will look back on the community service done that day, and realize why it was important for the community but was also really good for the soul.

Look who has been recognized as a Husky Humanitarian! Kacey has, no surprise here! Ms. Oveson states, "Work Ethic. Kasey always puts 110% into her school work, as well as her extra-curricular activities. When she is struggling, she will ask for help and push forward until she achieves the success she is looking for to show her best self!" Thanks Kasey for being such a strong role model for all of us!
