Each year 6th, 8th and 11th graders participate in the Healthy Teen Survey for the State of Oregon. The survey gathers information about health risk behaviors of students. The survey is anonymous. Linked below is an informational sheet about the survey, and an opt-out form if you choose for your student not to participate in the survey. For any questions, please call us at 541-437-2021.

Seniors in for the win for our Wacky Wednesday Challenge! 81% of them participated, with juniors close behind at 71% participation. Mrs. Sheehy won our staff skills challenge also! Who hoo!
Whoop Whoop! Navaeh has been recognized as a Husky Humanitarian. Mrs. Sheehy states, "KINDNESS. Nevaeh took time out of her day to help laminate and create bookmarks for her classmates. She is always demonstrating kindness with her positive attitude and heart of compassion!" Ditto Mrs. Sheehy! Navaeh is consistently kind and sharing her beautiful personality with others!

Halloween is rocking the halls at Elgin JH/HS today! Students and staff are enjoying the spirit of Halloween and each other!
Huge shout out to Kennedy for being recognized as a Husky Humanitarian. Ms. Oveson states, "CITIZENSHIP: Consistently having a positive attitude, pushing herself and others to be their personal best, and encouraging and supporting others in athletics and in the classroom with all of their endeavors!" Monday is Halloween! We are having a school-wide Halloween costume challenge at Elgin JH/HS. All costumes must be school appropriate and not represent violence or any person infamous for violence. The twist to our challenge is that the President and VP of the winning class gets to pour a bucket of ice water over the heads of the losing class's President and VP. And, if 100% of staff participates, the staff gets to pour a bucket of ice water over the principal's head!

Our weekly Wacky Wednesday Challenge is to wear flip flops, and you are welcome to wear them with socks to keep your feet cozy and warm! Seniors won the challenge last week, so who will it be this week?
