Oregon Promise

NEED MORE MONEY FOR COLLEGE?

New this year is the Oregon Promise program.  This program offers high school graduates and GED recipients an opportunity to have some or all of their community college tutuion covered.  Grants are for students entering a community college in Oregon in the Fall 2016.

Qualifications:

♦Graduate from an Oregon high school ore complete the GED in Spring/Summer 2016.

♦Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.

Academic Honors Diploma Program

Elgin High School's Honors Diploma is designed to reward students who enroll in the most rigorous courses available while recognizing that in doing so he or she may risk lowering his or her cumulative GPA.

Student Application

Read the requirements listed below. Fill out the application section, sign it, have your parent sign it, and return it to the principal. All applications will be reviewed by the Academics Committee. The committee's decision will be final.

In order to graduate from high school in the district, a student must successfully complete the following 26 units of credit:
