About Elgin, Oregon
Elgin is nestled at the foot of the Blue Mountains on the northern edge of the Grande Ronde Valley. It is within 20 minutes north of driving time of La Grande, the site of Eastern Oregon University. Both La Grande and Eastern provide outstanding cultural and education opportunities for Elgin residents.
Approximately 2,000 citizens reside in the growing Elgin community. Many community members actively participate in school programs and provide continued support for school activities.

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Elgin School District, Union County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, will be held at 111 So. 15th Street, Elgin, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 9th day of May, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 10, 2013, at 111 So. 15th Street, Elgin, Oregon, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m Monday - Thursday.
